Dhammika is a former Sri Lankan army soldier. Today he runs this small, family-run homestay and treats every guest like family.
He personally organises safaris, transport and tours, and makes sure you always get a good price. Not sure what to do in Sigiriya? He’ll help you plan it, for free.

We’re on a quiet road just off the main street in Kayanwala, near Sigiriya Tank. It’s a good base for the rocks, the cave temple and the safari parks.

Pidurangala Rock is about 3.6 km away. Dhammika can arrange a tuk-tuk to Sigiriya Rock, Pidurangala Rock or Dambulla for you, or you can hire a bicycle.
Can you arrange a jeep safari? Which park is best this month?
Yes. Dhammika books jeep safaris to Minneriya, Kaudulla and Hurulu Eco Park. Send him your dates on WhatsApp and he will tell you which park is best at that time.
Can you pick us up from the airport or the Dambulla bus stand? How much is it?
Yes. Airport pick-up and drop-off is a paid service, and we can pick you up from a station anywhere in Sri Lanka on request. Send us where and when on WhatsApp, and we’ll give you a price.
What's for breakfast? Can we have dinner at the homestay?
A traditional Sri Lankan breakfast is free with every stay. Home-cooked lunch and dinner are available on request.
Which rooms have AC? Is there hot water and a mosquito net?
The Family Room, the Deluxe Room with Balcony and the Deluxe Room have AC. The Double Room has a fan, no AC. Every room has a private bathroom with a hot shower, a mosquito net, a kettle with tea and coffee, and free Wi-Fi.
Do you have a room for a family?
Yes, we have one Family Room with AC. Tell us how many people are travelling, and we’ll check it’s right for you.
Can we check in early or leave our luggage?
Early check-in is free when the room is free. Send us your arrival time on WhatsApp and we’ll let you know.
Can we rent bicycles or a tuk-tuk?
You can hire bicycles from us. For tuk-tuks, Dhammika arranges transfers to Sigiriya Rock, Pidurangala Rock and Dambulla.
