Elon Musk and Tesla unveiled Tesla Motor’s new truck, Cyber Truck Tesla and then became their 6th in the line. Although it is still in the experimental stage, its controversial look and high capabilities have amazed the world.
The new truck, called ‘Cyber-Truck’, is a rival to Ford’s F-grade vehicles and the Chevrolet Silverado of American Motors.
The Exterior of Cyber Truck Tesla
You may recall that when Tesla was asked to wear vehicles, Tesla Elon Musk are known for their unorthodox trends and designs. The new Tesla has such a strange look. You might remember we drew odd-looking vehicles when we were kids. Tesla’s new truck has that sort of unusual look.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, tweeted that designing this truck was heavily inspired by Lotus Espirit S1 car featured in a well known James Bond movie titled ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’. In that movie, that car had the ability to transform into a submarine, although Cyber truck has no such capability.
Given this unusual design, it is doubtful that regular truck buyers will tend to buy it unless a fan of Elon Musk and Tesla Company. But as an eco-friendly electronic vehicle, it will become a regular truck of the future.
What’s special about this truck is that it is made from the same 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel alloy plate that had been used to build the Starship rocket of SpaceX. As such, it is highly tough. “We’d have used stronger steel if such one is available,” says the CybroTruck webpage.
Was There A Mishap At The Launch?
Introducing this Cyber Truck Tesla, Elon Musk Tesla CEO set out to show how resilient it is. First, they hit it with a hammer, and the CyberTrak was able to withstand the blow. Subsequently, a video showing shooting at the truck with a 9mm gun left the crowd in awe.
Later, footage was released that Elon Musk Tesla crew did some testing on the glass before the presentation and nothing went wrong there.
The plate and the chassis successfully withstand it. They then dropped an iron on to a special glass called ‘Tesla Armor Glass’ from the top. As glass did not even make a scratch, Elon Musk invited one of the members in the congregation to throw an iron ball at the glass window.
Before that member threw the iron ball, he asked Musk, “Are you sure that I should do this?”. “Yes!” Elon answered. At the same time, he hit the car with his fist, and it ripped like a spider’s web! Then he hit the glass with the iron ball, and it shattered like a spider’s web.
“Oh my god!” burst out of Elon Musk, he had to hide his amazement with a laugh and said, “Little too much maybe, but it didn’t go through”. Though he was able to mitigate the situation, again his expectation was shattered right in front of him when the second throw also shattered the rear passenger window.
Capabilities of Cyber Truck Tesla
There are several models of the new Cyber Truck Tesla. They are mainly categorized by the number of motors in each of them.
The low-level model can reach 0 to 96.5 kmh -1 in just 6.5 seconds. It has a single motor and gets power from the rear wheels. This truck can carry a load of 3400Kg. It can travel upto 400 kms on a single charge.
The medium model takes just 4.5 seconds to reach 0 to 96.5 kmh -1. It included with dual motors and all-wheel drive (AWD), which can travel a distance of 482 km on a single charge.
The highest model also has
an All-wheel drive with a triple motor structure. It takes 2.9 seconds to reach
96.5 kmh -1. This powerhouse can travel upto 800 km on a single
charge and has the power to drag a load of 6350 kilograms.
These all three models have the semi-autonomous capability, as well as self-parking and trailer docking capabilities. Using a video, Tesla Elon Musk demonstrated that when it comes to speed, Cyber Truck has the power enough to pass a Porsche 911 sports car. Also, they have a fast-charging capability of 250Kw with V3 technology.
Six people can easily travel in this truck, and it has 17’ inch touch screen.
